I'm Back So Here's Some WoW News

Hello everybody I'm back from my trip so the daily posts will pick up once again, this one will just be a bunch of interesting WoW news that has built up in my absence.

The new looking for guild feature has been implemented on the PTR and is pretty simple but still useful; you can select your playstyle as casual, moderate, or hardcore, set raid availability, fillable roles, and a comment. Then you can browse guilds that fit you. It is pretty basic at the moment but it is definitely a step in the right direction and I'd like to see Blizzard expand this tool in the future.
J!nx has released their spring 2011 launch of licensed WoW shirts; it isn't Jinx's best work but there are a few pretty cool designs in there. Anyone willing to announce their geekyness to the world can find the shirts on Jinx's site here. I'll probably pick up the Epic Purple Shirt cause well....it's purple and epic!
Next patch Death Knights are getting a battle rez, yup. " Raise Ally has been redesigned to be a battle resurrection, analogous to Rebirth. It is instant cast, but costs 50 Runic Power to use, and has a 10-minute cooldown. It shares the same global battle resurrection cap with Rebirth and Soulstone." So now instead of turning their target into a useless ghoul they can bring them back fully, pretty cool I think. Also warriors are getting a shout that gives 20% hp to all raid members for 10 seconds which is pretty powerful as well.
MMO-Champion has datamined some of the new mounts available in 4.1 and the two more interesting ones are the new firehawk mounts shown in the video above. Yes, Blizzard just stuck an armored phoenix skin on a protodrake model. I'm not sure what to think, it either looks really cool or really stupid. Keep in mind these are datamined and may not be final, the protodrake animations may just be temporary and the mounts may not just be a re-skin, we shall see.

  2. WTF, another battle rez? Deathknights just get everyone else's abilities.

  3. Whenever one class gets an improvement, the other classes get a little less special.
